Our CRC Champions program recognizes our employees for the immeasurable value they add to our company, our industry, and our communities. When Brooke Gomez-Williamson joined the U.S. Army, she knew she would be facing some of the greatest challenges of her life. Upon completing her basic training and preparing to go to advanced individual training, her drill sergeant told her, “You earned your place here in the Army. You are where you are supposed to be.” Brooke would go on to become the 56th woman to ever be integrated into field artillery. Today, Brooke is a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Compliance Advisor for CRC and ensures the safe transport of oil and gas in our operations. CRC is proud to partner with the Kern Community College District and Bakersfield College. This past year, under the CRC Carbon Management Institute, students were given the opportunity to conduct research for a techno-economic analysis of various carbon capture technologies for a carbon capture and storage demonstration project, workforce development, and community education programs. The students worked with industry partners and researchers from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and presented their results to the Bakersfield College Modern Energy Program. Students who participated in the research programs were also awarded CRC Carbon Management Institute scholarships. At CRC, we are committed to investing in our local students and a sustainable future.
